Units are individual residences. A duplex would be 2 units, one house providing 3 different residences would be 3 units, etc.
Do not count a unit more than once. If you count a unit as one you own, do not count it as a unit you manage.

Apartment Association of Northeastern Wisconsin CODE OF ETHICS
The Apartment Association of Northeastern Wisconsin has organized for the purpose of advancing the general welfare of the residential rental industry in northeastern Wisconsin and, through our affiliation with the Wisconsin Apartment Association, the general welfare of this industry throughout the state of Wisconsin.
The Apartment Association of Northeastern Wisconsin recognizes the role its members play in meeting the housing needs of northeastern Wisconsin, and pledges to our residents, our municipalities and to other housing providers to maintain the highest possible standards of quality and service. The Apartment Association of Northeastern Wisconsin dedicates the efforts of its members, executive board and officers to the welfare of its members; to providing safe, healthy and secure homes for residents of AANW owned or managed units; and to protect the human values of all residents of rental units, such as dignity, pride and security. .
Therefore, members of Apartment Association of Northeastern Wisconsin and Wisconsin Apartment Association commit ourselves to the principals and standards of the organization as follows: WE SHALL uphold the highest professional standards of integrity, honesty, and fairness-, WE SHALL continually strive to better the industry by participating in and promoting education and professionalism; WE SHALL promote the spirit of and comply with all applicable Fair Housing Laws that we may provide equal housing opportunities for all; WE SHALL properly maintain and safeguard all property under our care, meeting or exceeding a applicable housing and health or safety codes, ordinances and regulations; WE SHALL respect the rights of others by preserving and enhancing private property rights and the free enterprise system; WE SHALL comply with all federal state and local laws and regulations pertaining to our industry; WE SHALL actively seek the help of and cooperate with local, state and federal officials in order to protect our properties and our community from crime, drug traffic and vandalism; WE SHALL function cooperatively with our Wisconsin Apartment Association of which the Apartment Association of Northeastern Wisconsin is a member in good standing.

Portion to WAA is $145.00 Portion to AANW is $25.00 + $5.00 per Manager/Employee
Contributions or gifts to the Wisconsin Apartment Association are not tax deductible as charitable contributions for federal tax purposes. However, your dues may be tax deductible as ordinary and necessary business expenses. In 2009 the amount of your Wisconsin Apartment Association dues ($145) allotted for state lobbying expenses is 17.39% and that portion of your WAA dues is not tax deductible. Please check with your accountant.
