Hope everyone had a fun and safe summer. Wow a lot has been happening to fill everyone in on. Hope everyone enjoyed the August Picnic it was a great time. What a great opportunity to network with the Fox Valley Chapter. We are looking forward to doing this again next year. We are planning another Membership drive for September 2nd on the deck of Vincent, Urban, and Walker Insurance. Thank you Marc for sponsoring the place. Also special thank you to Bill Doyle with Coldwell Banker and SpeedRenter.com for also sponsoring the evening. Thank you to Kathy Huens, Merrilee Libal and Gary Heilmann for planning the event. Great job on another successful event. Over the summer we emailed out a list of your representatives in Madison. We all need to have our voices heard so make sure you contact you senator and representative to support the changes to Utility Bill. This is something that we need to do a joint effort don’t leave it up to everyone else. Speaking again of the Fox Valley Apartment Association we are going to hold a Seminar together Law of Landlord Part I and II. This is a great learning opportunity for the newbie or the veteran so plan to attend. I know I learn something every time because someone always has a new story to share. Look in newsletter for more information. Has everyone signed up to attend this years WAA Conference “Opportunity Knocks” This is being held right in our backyard. If attendance is low, Appleton won’t be a choice for future conferences and it is nice to have the Conference close by. See this newsletter for detailed schedule and registration form. WAA has revamped the classes and you must attend to take advantage of this great learning and networking opportunity. This is one of the benefits to being a member of the state. We also have lots of legislative issues and this will bring everyone up to speed and your chance to meet our lobbyist Gary Goyke. Don’t let this opportunity pass you by. October is our tradeshow. Start Renting has already stepped up to sponsor the evening. Thank you Start Renting. The tradeshow is a great opportunity to meet our Associate Members and learn about all the different products and services they have to offer. This is a fun and great evening. Members this is the night to bring your landlord friends to check out AANW and Associate Members and encourage them to join our organization.
