Test fees are equal to "days of practice needed".


The requirements for 5th kyu:

More than 30 days of practice are needed, plus the following techniques:

Shomenuchi - Ikkyo
Shomenuchi - Iriminage
Katatetori - Shihonage
Kokyu-dosa

The requirements for 4th kyu:

More than 40 days of practice (after getting 5th kyu), all the techniques for 5th kyu plus the following techniques:

Yokomenuchi - Shihonage
Katatori - Nikkyo


The requirements for 3rd kyu:

More than 50 days of practice (after getting 4th kyu), all the techniques through 4th kyu plus the following techniques:

Shomenuchi – Ikkyo, Nikkyo, Sankyo, Yonkyo
 (tachi- and suwari-waza)
Ryotedori – Shihonage
Tsuki - Iriminage
Shomenuchi – Kotegaeshi
Tsuki - Kotegaeshi
Ryotedori – Tenchinage
Kokyuho (zagi)

The requirements for 2nd kyu:

More than 50 days of practice (after getting 3rd kyu), all the techniques through 3rd kyu plus the following techniques:

Katadori – Ikkyo, Nikkyo, Sankyo, Yonkyo
 (tachi- and suwari-waza)
Katatetori – Shihonage (hanmi handachi)
Katatetori – Iriminage
Katatetori – Kaitennage
Katatetori – Jiyuwaza
Kokyuho (zagi)

The requirements for 1st kyu:

More than 60 days of practice (after getting 2nd kyu), all the techniques through 2nd kyu plus the following techniques:

Shomenuchi, yokomenuchi, kata-dori, ushiro-ryote-dori -
Ikkyo through Yonkyo (tachi- and suwari-waza)
Yokomenuchi - Gokkyo
Katatetori - Shihonage (tachi- and suwari-waza)
Katatedori - Ryotetori (tachi and hanmi-handachi-waza)
Shomenuchi, Tuki and Katatetori - Iriminage,
 
kotegaeshi, kaitennage
Ryotetori - Tenchinage
Katatetori, Ryotetori and Morotetori - Jiyu-waza
(optional) kokyuho (suwari- and tachi-waza).

Note: Ukemi skill and performance in class are taken into consideration.
