My Favorite Photography Sites
I've just started this page, but I promise to add more links. Let me know what sites YOU like, too!

My other web site - www.cathygreenblat.com
I began to develop this site in May 2007. It will have some of the images that are here, along with others that are not part of a series, and examples from my newer projects.

Howie Becker on Visual Sociology
This is a clear presentation of the nature of visual sociology.

My current favorite photographer: Jean Louis Courtinat
I think Jean Louis Courtinat's work is fantastic. Recently I met him (at my request, through a mutual friend), and I know why his work on health issues is so sensitive... It reflects his overall approach to life.

Women in Photography International
This is an interesting organization. I love it even more since I won first prize in the amateur division in their competition, "Decisive Moments: Hommage to Henri Cartier-Bresson" !

IVSA annual meeting
The 2007 meetings will be in New York City in mid-August...

IVSA International Visual Sociology Association

Digital Journalist
This is one of my favorite digital photography sites. The archives contain wonderful examples of documentary photography.

Helen Stummer
I met Helen a few years ago. We spent only a short time together. She gave a superb talk in one of my seminars, and we shared stories and images at the Society for Photographic Education meetings in Philadelphia. I assigned her book No Easy Walk in my Visual Sociology course because I was moved by the photographs and by Helen's genuine commitment to the people she photographs.

Barry Haynes on digital printmaking for photographers
Barry teaches a superb course on digital printmaking for photographers. I still use film, but I scan my best negatives and print via Photoshop --- a skill I learned from Barry. I trust his advice on everything about digital printing.

The Academy of Art University
The Academy of Art University photography school offers on campus and online photography degree courses in photojournalism, digital photography, conventional photography and more. Check it out!
