Welcome to the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) District X

The AMA is a self supporting, non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote the development of model aviation as a recognized sport and worthwhile recreational activity. It is the world's largest sport aviation organization, representing a membership of more than 160,000 aeromodeling enthusiasts from every walk of life. AMA is the chartering organization for more than 2,500 model airplane clubs across the country and is the official national body for model aviation in the United States.

Do You Know Where Your District X Vice President is ? ?

Mike Brown is out doing exactly what he likes to do.  He is travelling around to visit as many clubs and flying sites as he can in two weeks.  After talking with so many modelers at the AMA Expo 2010 and discussing the new newsletter, Mike decided to visit many of the clubs in the district to meet district members and capture more photos for the website and newsletter. Of course he brought airplanes so he can spend some time flying with the clubs he visits.  He has made his way through Central California and onto Las Vegas.  He will travel to Los Angeles and Southern California and then on to the RC Expo on March 20-21, 2010.  Then it will be off to home ground with several more stops in between.  Look for Mike as he may stop in for a visit.
