The Catholic Student Center can perform weddings only for students who are currently enrolled at the USF Tampa campus and are participating members of the Catholic Student Center community.
Wedding ceremonies are not performed at any location other than the Catholic Student Center Chapel.
Couples must begin the pre-marital preparation at least six months in advance of their desired wedding date. A valid marriage license, compliance with Church marriage law and satisfactory completion of the pre-marital preparation process are required in order to schedule a wedding ceremony.
Dates for wedding ceremonies are scheduled on a first-come/first-served basis. Wedding ceremonies cannot be scheduled during the weeks before or after Easter or the week before Christmas. Wedding ceremonies are discouraged during Lent. Wedding ceremonies can be scheduled between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Flowers, and other decorations, must be appropriate to the liturgical season. Decorations with lighted candles may not be used. Existing decorations, church furniture and appointments may not be moved or altered.
No flash photography may be done during the ceremony. Photographs and other post-ceremony activities must be concluded within one hour of the end of the wedding ceremony.
No rice, birdseed, flower petals, animals, confetti, glitter, soap bubbles, balloons or any other object or substance may be used inside or outside the church before, during or after the wedding ceremony.
A fee of $300 is due to the Catholic Student Center for pre-marital preparations and/or wedding ceremonies; this is payable when the pre-marital preparation work has been completed. A $250 maintenance deposit is due at the time the pre-marital preparation is complete; this fee will be refunded to the couple if the Chapel, associated facilities and grounds are left in the same clean condition in which they were found. A fee of $200 is due to the musician at the time of the ceremony; a fee of $75 is due to the vocalist at the time of the ceremony.
