Michael has been a working professional photographer in Portland, Oregon for 30 years in both the portrait and commercial areas of photography and has been a photography instructor for the past 20 years.  He has been and instructor at Portland State University and is presently teaching at Mt. Hood Community College.  Michael has also conducted workshops for professional organizations such as Professional Photographers of America and Portland Metropolitan Photographers Association.
