The iPhone Is the Easiest Way to Get Online!
The iPhone, shown above, is a high-tech telephone (answering machine, caller ID, call log, 200-entry speed-dialing rolodex, two lines, etc.) that also does email and surfs the web. Because it is an internet appliance and not a computer, even people who hate computers can now get online.
The iPhone has received favorable reviews in local and national media, including the Seattle Times (Aug. 8, 1999), the Wall Street Journal (Sept. 17, 1999, p. W1), and USA Today (Sept. 3, 1999, p. 12D). Andy Pargh, who reviewed the iPhone for USA Today, concluded: "After testing this unit I have to say that this is my pick as the best designed Internet appliance I have seen to date."
Furthermore, the iPhone has just won the the Innovations 2000 design contest in the online/internet category. This contest is sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) and is endorsed by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) and the Consumer Electronics Society of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). This "Best of Showcase" award was made during the 2000 International CES exhibition held in Las Vegas from January 6 through January 9, 2000.
