Most people don'e understand why I would be so happy but you saw what we started with and how far we have come and you are not afraid to let anyone know when they shoot us down. I greatly appreciate it!

Thanks again for your help.

Hi,
I was going to call you over the weekend and time just got away from me. I can't thank you enough for showing Jerry the round pen technique. What a difference. He actually wanted to go out and work with Rock everyday. He has even been walking him around the ranch some. His confidence is way up. Thank you thank you.

I've even gotten to benefit from Jer's work with Rock. Rock has a different attitude in his stall lately, too! I don't have to "fight" with him as much to get in the stall or get his halter on.

Just wanted you to know that your work really helped.

Glad we got a chance to have dinner too. We really enjoyed spending time with you. See you Wednesday.

Dear Becky and Todd,
I can't begin to Thank You enough for all you have done for myself and my family. Robin and Tizzie are the light of my life and they are perfectly suited for me. It's hard to believe that in this crazy world I was able to find trainers who were willing to take the time to find horses that were RIGHT FOR ME and it is nice to know that if I ever have a problem that you are both there to help me through it and keep my horses and my family safe and sound. Although I had horses when I was younger, it had been over 15 years since I have had the opportunity to own again and without your support and guidance, it could have been a disaster, but you and Todd have been awesome and I could not have done it without you. Rest assured I will continue to do ALL OF MY BUSINESS with you, Todd, and the Diamond L arena and will recommend your stallions, training, and sales departments to all of my friends and family.
Becky and Todd--
Thanks again--we are counting the days until "Precious" is born. See you next year for breeding and training season.

All of our love,
Erika, Bob, and Katelyn Samuel

I just want to say that your site is great!! and your heelers well iam breathless. I had to put my heeler down almost 3 years ago,one of the sadest days of my life. My heeler "houston" was almost 17 and he was not just a great dog but my best friend "my baby". It has taking me this long to be able to think of getting another one, I know you may hear that everyone has a special bond with their dog, and I hope I dont bore you with mine. But having Houston since he was a pup until his last day at 16 1/2, well let me just say that heelers in my opinion are the BEST. Soooooo if you know of any heelers for sale in Southern Calfornia please please let me know....The ones that I have seen are so narrow and yours look so much like my Houston. thank you very much

     Subject Breeding the Young Mare

Date Thu Dec 25 2003 06:48

Author Diamond L Arena (ropers@sandyvalley.net)

Shannah,

This is sound advice to anyone who wants to breed either the young mare or the older mare.
1. Consult a trusted veterinarian experienced in equine reproduction.
2. Plan ahead and begin good mare care BEFORE you breed. A good feed, vitamin and exercise program is a great start and don't forget the vaccinations. Your vet can assist you with this and help you to continue this throughout the pregnancy and beyond.
3. Pick a stallion that is going to give your foal the best marketability possible. A stallion with a great show career, progeny who are promoted and winning along with great blood lines equals a foal that has a better chance of getting a higher price on the market - even if you never plan to sell the foal it is always good to plan for that day! It is just as easy to breed for, train and feed a great foal as it is to not and it is just as cost effective in the long run.
4. Know your goals before you breed. What are your plans for the foal?
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Diamond L Arena. We encourage you to check out the fine selection of great stallions we have to offer.

I prefer a cowy stud since I don't show but love to watch roping and don't want a horse that is going to run from cattle like a big baby.
