Welcome Back
Feature of the Month
It is with great sadness to report that on Wednesday, September 10, 2008, we lost another of the patriarchs of the family. Anthony D. DiCicco, beloved husband of Welcome (Sasportas) DiCicco passed away in his sleep at the age of 87. He will surely be missed. He was laid to rest on Saturday, September 13. Uncle Tony, as I called him, is pictured below with his wife Welcome. Welcome is the daughter of David & Rose Sasportas

Picture of the Month
The cycle of life goes on! Therefore I am posting two “Pictures of the Month”, two new additions to the family.
A great joy for Anthony recently was to see and hold his first great grandchild, Michaela DiCicco, daughter of Michael & Sara DiCicco. Michael is the son of Robert DiCicco and grandson of Anthony. The picture below was chosen as it represents 4 generations (the cycle of life) of the DiCicco family. Pictured is Great Grandmother Welcome, Grandfather Robert, Father Michael and the newest member of the DiCicco clan, Michaela.
And congratulations to Dalia (Sasportas) and Yuval Shor on the arrival of their daughter, Alona, Granddaughter of Arnold and Joyce Sasportas.
It gives me and my brother Robert great joy to know that our efforts to provide this website are making a difference in people’s lives. Below is one example of how this site has benefited a family member and it is a catalyst to keep us motivated to continue. Many thanks to Rachel for letting me share this email.
Hello David,
My name is Rachel (Einhorn) Stone. My grandparents
were Harry and Dorothy Einhorn. My sister Samantha
found your website through a Google search. You have a
picture of my daughter Haylie on your website. I am
amazed and intrigued by this website as it shows a lot
of history I was unaware of. May I ask how you
received my daughter's picture and information?
I am currently living in Lake Worth, Florida with my
husband Matt and my three children, Haylie (now 3 1/2)
and 1 year old fraternal twins (boy and girl) Brady
and Riley. I am attaching picture of us all.
I am a teacher and have taught language arts for 6
years and every year I teach a unit on the Holocaust.
I had no idea that distant relatives had perished
during this time. Students have always asked me and I
say I did not have relatives involved. This changes so
much for me.
I look forward to reading more on your webpage and
hope to hear from you.
Rachel

Have some news that you want me to put in this section? Send me an e-mail with the news item and I will add it.
This site has been developed to honor the memory of my beloved mother, Pearl Sasportas. She was known for being the glue that held the family together with her 4th of July parties and other family events.
Family was very important to her. With the help of all of you, this site can change the tide and become the new glue that holds us together. My brother Robert Sasportas has done much in the way of investigating family history. We will use this site to preserve that valuable information and capture all that is new in our family. Spread the word about this site to other family members. Your feedback is always welcome.
Click here to send an e-mail to Robert Sasportas or David N. Sasportas. You can also provide your feedback through the Feedback message board.
Thanks for visiting the site today, your host, David N. Sasportas.
