Dear EWGA League Participant:

Welcome to the 2008 EWGA Columbus Chapter leagues. We hope this will be the start of a fun and exciting season of golf for our members. In addition to the leagues, we have a full schedule of events. Some key information for league participants:

  • All league players must be members in good standing of EWGA.
  • League play begins in April (specific date to be announced soon) for 16 week leagues. Rainouts will be scheduled at the end of regular play. Rainouts are determined by the league captain in conjunction with the course.
  • There will be no weekly tee times for players. Instead, players will tee off in a first come first serve basis within your session’s block of time.
  • Leagues will include competitive and social formats within the same time block.
LEAGUE FLEXIBILITY…AND WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU

We are continuing the “League Flexibility” concept started several years ago. There is not a “sub list” and you do not have to try to find someone to play for you when you are unable to play. If you cannot play on your regular day/time, you can play on one of the other days at a comparable course (16 week course or 8 week course) if there is an open slot. If there is an open slot, you are eligible to play at no additional cost to you. Likewise, someone who plays on another league night could have shown up at the course and played in your slot since you weren’t there. If everyone who is signed up for a particular night shows up when you are attempting to play a flex round, you would be unable to play. Flexibility is a unique benefit to all of you who are committed to league play. Our goal is to have EWGA tee times filled each week and provide a positive experience for league players.
