I was doubting myself & questioning in thought if Our Lord really wanted this or was it just me? I thought, "Blessed Mother, if this Day of Prayer is not from you, then would You please not let one person come?" For many years I am troubled on Good Friday because I believe it is a day to pray, be quiet & reflect on the Passion and Death of Our Savior and Lord, Jesus; yet so many of my people have lost the true meaning of this solemn day. Today and for many years now, many of my people gather and have big boiled seafood parties. I believe this is wrong. It is the gathering and party atmosphere with drinking that is wrong. I do not think my people really realize that what they are doing is wrong. I pray that soon our priests will speak to my people about their Good Friday parties. This is the reason I called this Day of Prayer. I was awake most of the night. Then, overslept. I awoke to voices outside my window. It was almost 9A.M. and the first pilgrims had arrived. As I was dressing, Our Mother surprised me as She began to Speak: "My child, thank you for what you are doing for My Son and for Me, Your Mother. I want you to thank all those who come today for Me." I said, "O.K. my Mother." I thought She was finished. Our Mother continued: "Thank you, My beloved children for gathering together on this Holy Day to pray. I will bless you and your families abundantly for your little sacrifices." I then asked Our Mother to please slow down as I ran for paper and pencil. She is filled with Infinite Love and kindness. She continued: "Pray. Pray. Pray. Pray My little ones, pray for holy priests to lead you. Pray for your families and your parishes. Please Consecrate yourselves, your families & homes and your parishes to My Immaculate Heart. In My Heart, you will be safe." Her next words blew my mind and I hesitated to write. I thought I was being deceived. She repeated twice: "Today in the Holy 3 Days, I ask that a Church be built. It is to be called 'The Church of the Visitations of Mary Immaculate, Mother of Divine Love, Patroness of Priests.' My Son Jesus in Holy Eucharist is Divine Love. My Son Jesus in Holy Confession is Divine Mercy. I ask that the Holy Mysteries of the Holy Rosary surround this Church. I have not asked this anywhere else where I have Appeared. Please do not hesitate to write what I ask or to make known My Request, My Promises or Messages. Go to your Bishop. I have chosen him and I have chosen well. I am helping you, do not be afraid for I am with you at all times. I am present here at all times and I will never leave you, My beloved children. I come to call you to come home to Your Mother. In Your Mother's Heart is safety and security. In My Immaculate Heart you will find a Love and a Peace that the world cannot give you. I enclose you within the confines of My Immaculate Heart and take you safely to My Son, Jesus. I take you to Him whole and healed in body and in soul. I love you forever and ever, My little ones. Thank you for coming. I love you. Your Mother, Lady of the Bayou, Mother of Divine Love. All Missions will come together here, My children, in the Heart of My Son Jesus, Divine Love." I went to the phone and called my Spiritual Director. He said to obey Our Mother and not to feel that this must be done immediately, that it would be done in God's time. Fourteen pilgrims came and six family members. We began with opening prayer and the first day of the Divine Mercy Novena in our chapel. Then we went outside and prayed the 14 Stations of the Cross for Priests. We came back inside and prayed a Chaplet of Divine Mercy for Priests. Someone read a Meditation on the Passion of Jesus and we closed with a prayer of thanksgiving. Good Friday, April 21, 2000 At the end of our Day of Prayer, Leslie Therese received: "Do not be afraid child for I am truly with you. I will be with you always and everywhere. I am touching all here today with the Grace of Peace, which will bring love and devotion to my priest sons. Thank you for coming, My children. You are precious to Our Lord and My Son. Thank you for not making today a celebration of death, but a coming together of life. Because My Son died for the sake of the world, today, when you die, just your body dies because of My Son, your soul will live forever in Love. Pure unconditional Love. The freshness of our souls will be in Heaven. I will be here holding you in the comfort of a Mother's Arms always. I love you, My children. Your Mother, Mother of Divine Love." Day of Prayer ended at 1:30P.M. so everyone could go to their church for 3P.M.
