A Letter to Priests
Brides of the Most Blessed Trinity 1681 Bayou du Large Rd. Theriot, LA 70397
October 15, 2008
Dear Father,
October 26, 2008 is Priesthood Sunday. We are writing to tell you how much we appreciate your vocation as a priest.
As you represent Jesus in the celebration of Holy Mass bringing to us Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, we celebrate in thanksgiving for this precious and holy gift of LOVE! Your vocation as a priest, your life given for us, is a treasured gift to us.
As you witness our vows as man and wife and baptize our children into the Faith, how blessed we are. Your vocation as a priest has brought holiness to our daily living and shows us the expanse of Christ’s LOVE!
As you minister to us when we are ill and our spirits are down, how comforting it is to have your presence near by as you administer to us the Sacrament of the sick and hear our Confession and bring us Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Your vocation as a priest touches the very depth of our soul and lifts us up.
When we are close to death and we know in our hearts that Jesus is calling us home, you are there to comfort us letting us know that Jesus is with us. Your vocation as a priest then places us at rest and lays us in the bosom of Jesus and Our Mother, Mary Immaculate and we are at peace.
This coming last Saturday of the month, October 25, 2008 many groups will be gathering throughout the world to pray for you and for more vocations to the priesthood. In Theriot, Louisiana at 2:00 P.M. Holy Mass will celebrated in thanksgiving for your vocation as a priest and offered in Thanksgiving to the Most Holy Blessed Trinity for allowing us to see the fruit of our prayers by the numbers in our seminaries.
Peace and Love through Jesus and Mary Immaculate
