To our Friends, Families, and Collectors who see us in Gilroy,
I am so sorry to say that Michael and I will not be able to attend this year’s Gilroy Garlic Festival. We will be on the road, driving home from New Jersey.
During the last few years, Michael and I have been actively exploring new opportunities to introduce my drawings to cat and art lovers by way of cat shows that take place throughout the country. Slowly but surely, I am establishing an identity within this “cat world”, taking on commissioned projects for private individuals, and organizations set up for the benefit of cats all over the world.
While we were in Louisville, KY, last year, we were invited to participate in one of the largest cat shows on the East Coast. Because of prior obligations, we were not able to attend last year, but put it on our calendar for 2009.
When we scheduled to exhibit my work at the Garden State Cat Show on July 18 & 19 , we failed to realize that there was no safe and sane way we could drive back in time to set up in Gilroy. We had to face this very difficult decision. We are very disappointed that we could not participate in both events.
Mike and I will greatly miss seeing you, our friends, family, and collectors in Gilroy. We will sadly miss being a part of one of our very favorite festivals. We will eat garlic and think of you all on the journey home...
