"Bookmark" was inspired by my first cat, "Gilda". She was the kind of girl who could not NOT throw a pose. Kittens very often look cutely clumsy, or like teddy bears. Gilda never did - she never could! Gilda was always a feline Super Model.

Gilda also thought that if I was looking at something, it should be HER. I used to read at our picnic table...you see here what was like.

I loved growing up in the Midwest! November in Illinois was stark: all the leaves had fallen from the trees, and the crisp chill of winter was especially prevalent in the mornings. It could snow anytime!

We would start seeing friends and family during all the holidays, and invariably, someone would snap "The Portrait". Someone with a camera, would capture all the fun, love and friendship of the moment.
