Personal Interests and Concerns
My main concerns center around health and the environment. As an adult I have been particularly focused on holistic and non-invasive healing methods. It is my hope that I can help others with similar concerns and health issues as myself.
Educational Background and ExperienceFall 1996 Studied Traditional Chinese Medicine at Wisconsin Institute of Chinese Herbology, Racine, WI.
Fall 1997/Summer 1998 Studied Massage Therapy at Wisconsin Institute of Natural Wellness, Racine, WI.
November/December 1998 Completed Tuina (Chinese Bodywork) internship at China Beijing International Acupuncture Training Center (CBIATC), Beijing, China. CBIATC is affiliated with the World Health Organization and under the auspices of China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
June 1999 Wisconsin Department of Regulations & Licensing registration as a Massage Therapist
November/December 1999 Completed Chinese Herbal Medicine internship at CBIATC, Beijing, China. The first half of the internship was at an all-Chinese hospital under Dr Jin who specializes in Spleen, Stomach, Liver, Kidney, and Gallbladder, the Chinese equivalent of internal medicine. The second half of the internship was at Zhong Ri You Hao Yi Yuan, China Japan Friendship Hospital, where all Chinese and Western departments truly collaborate with each other. There I was in the Chinese Gynecology Department, where the focus is Infertility.
2000 Certify as a Pharmanex Medical Representative (PMR) in the Pharmanex Medical Division (PMD).
Fall 2001/Spring 2003 Interdisciplinary Studies Major focusing on East Asian Studies at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Summer 2002 Studied Chinese language and culture at Guangxi Normal University, Guilin, China
January 2004 Studied Chinese language and culture in Hong Kong and Taiwan.
April 2005 Attended National Institute for Human Individuality (IfHI) Conference and certified as a Blood Type Diet counselor, B-504.
May 2007 Attended National IfHI Conference and certified as Master Fellow Instructor of the Institute for Human Individuality.
June 2009 Attended National IfHI Conference.
