Divine Choices is a faith based, California 501(c)(3)non-profit organization, whose primary goal is to empower adult Christian men and women who have been victimized by childhood sexual abuse.
Divine Choices program will challenge the participant to engage in an internal look at their need for biblical healing and to develop a proactive approach to becoming well.
Divine Choices program will reinforce spiritual principles that will enhance the participants’ ability to assimilate and apply biblical truths.
Divine Choices program will equip you to bring balance and abundance to your life through:
1) discovering the key to spiritual wholeness
2) learning to emotionally connect with people
3) experiencing God’s reality in the middle of trouble
4) conquering reoccurring emotional pain and sickness
5) learning the secrets of emotional stability
6) insights that will change the way you experience life
The Divine Choice Model
The greatest leader who ever lived, Jesus of Nazareth, the Messiah, did not stand in heaven and demand that people follow his orders. He became a man, lived among us and showed us how to live life to its fullest. He offered his followers the opportunity to see his teachings put into practice.
First, He taught the Word of God, which gave people the information they needed.
Second, He modeled what he taught.
Modeling is the primary training method throughout the bible, even more so than dictatorial, opinionative instruction.
1) Modeling says, “My life is a pattern you can follow.” Modeling is character based and for this reason requires a high level of personal integrity. Because it also requires demonstrated success, modeling helps maintain the integrity of proven methods. Jesus modeled the principles of life as well as the principles of ministry. He modeled the reality that everyone was important to Him.
2) Mentoring focuses on developing people through a two- pronged approach of comprehensive training programs and individual one-on-one guidance. With the right people in place, mentoring becomes more coaching than teaching and creates an endless cycle of developing quality people.
3) Multiplying is the duplication of self, the reinvestment of our skills and experiences to reproduce in others, who then reproduce themselves in still others. Multiplication is all about duplication, not merely of a specific task, but also of values and philosophies that are based on the truth of who Jesus says we are in him. It is about the person as much as it is about the goal.
“I am come that you might have life, and that you might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10)
Because we tend to focus our lives on the wrong things, we fail to experience what Jesus died to give us, causing our life to be stressful and chaotic.
When our life is complete we are able to live in peace. We are able to focus on what is important. It is in this environment of abundance that people will make their life count.
Divine Choices is a unique program that is geared specifically toward working with and empowering adult Christian men and women who have been victimized by childhood sexual abuse.
We offer a sixteen-week program with the first eight weeks being group facilitation and participation.
The carefully screened participants will first and foremost have to be honest with themselves and “own” their present situation in order to move on with their lives.
The group sessions will require sharing and active participation, biblical study and application, homework and weekly checkpoints ensuring that participants understand practical application of moving forward.
Moving on is seldom a matter of external change. Only when you know the secret of internal transformation can you turn dissatisfaction into an incredible journey of new discovery.
