Defying the odds is something Lisa Hughes has done her whole life, enabling her to not only make an impact but to help transform the financial, legal and political climate in Orange County.  Abandoned, fostered and abused at a young age, Hughes was determined to not live her life in the confines of her past but to forge ahead full throttle, driven by her deep faith in God to carry her to new heights.  In and out of foster homes, she emancipated herself at a young age and made it her mission to strive for excellence in education, unwilling to compromise her will, Christian faith and integrity to rise to the top.

Fortunately for all of us, she does not allow her early-life experiences to dictate who she is today.  In many ways, her past has made her a strong force in the legal field, serving as a trial attorney for family law, advocating for the rights of those facing divorce, custody and paternity issues.  She is also a highly qualified CPA, admitted to practice before the US Supreme court and the US Tax court.
