Hope is a 2 year old black neutered male miniature poodle. He came to us from Arizona with two broken legs.
If Hope needs further surgeries the Poodle Club of Southern California will pay for the surgeries.

Dear Madeline,
When my Yorkie that I had for 18 years died, my husband and I decided to get a miniature poodle as we had one years ago.
I am a believer in finding a dog that really needs a home rather than purchasing one from a breeder. I saw Hope's photo (now Joey) on your web site and decided to go see him. It was love at first sight. I wasn''t sure I wanted to take on a dog with casts on both of his front legs, but my vet assured me that all was going to be OK. without any lifetime problems and without the need for plates in his legs.
I cannot believe that anyone in their right mind would not have kept this dog and helped him mend his legs. He is absolutely a wonderful dog, housetrained, obedient, loving, and loads of fun. He is the best dog I have ever had and I have had five dogs in my lifetime. He is my pride and joy. If his former owners ever see this letter, I want to thank you for not keeping him. He ranks with my husband, children and grandchildren as a totally loved part of our family.
Thank you Madeline for the work you do. I will be a constant supporter of your program.
Arlene
