1. Workplace Performance
Diagnostic
- "How can we design NEW office space to help
our staff become more productive and make sure we get the desired
results?"
- "We need to consolidate some of our
operations in our current facilities. How can we do this and INCREASE
our staff productivity? Where do we start and how do we know we are
doing the right thing?"
- "We are expanding our office facilities and
would like to take advantage of the new space to increase
productivity. How do we get going, and how do we make sure we are
going in the right direction?"
To answer questions aimed at optimizing
workplace development AND quantify the resulting performance improvement, PdK
Consulting has
developed a powerful 5 step method aimed at increasing performance
(i.e. business results). The Workplace Performance Diagnostic
is the first step.
A Workplace
Performance Diagnostic is a consultative process aimed at:
- Identifying the workgroup(s) for which a
new high performance workplace is to be developed
- Establishing the broad business objectives
and strategies that the new workplace needs to stimulate in order to
maximize productivity improvements.
During a half-day session, using the Balanced
Scorecard methodology developed by Norton & Kaplan at Harvard, PdK
Consulting and the client Senior Management Team identify:
- Client's corporate objectives
- Client's corporate culture and themes
- Client's corporate vision, mission and
values.
The identified outcomes will cover the four perspectives of the
Balanced Scorecard:
- the Financial perspective,
- the Customer perspective,
- the Internal Process perspective
- the Learning and Growth perspective
Client's Senior Management Team and PdK Consulting explore which
of the existing and proposed workgroups or work units are the best
candidates to migrate to the new workplace (either new location
of reconfiguration of an existing location). Criteria include:
- how representative is each workgroup of the
total workforce?
- what is the impact of each group on overall
business results?
- what is the saliency
of each group, how
critical are they to meeting the company's strategy?
PdK Consulting, through a series of interviews with key members
of the selected workgroup (s), validates the alignment of the workgroup
objectives with the corporate goals and strategies.
PdK Consulting further develops its understanding of the
selected workgroup's operational strategies through a series of individual interviews
(including video-ethnography), focus groups, as well as observations of:
- workplace usage and occupancy
- work processes
- technology employment, and
-
organizational structures.
Based on this learning process PdK
Consulting develops a plan to produce the
workgroup(s) Performance Balanced Scorecard from which the Optimized
Workplace Development will be created and the resulting Performance
Improvements will be quantified.
The Workplace Performance Diagnostic process is typically completed
in 2 to 4 weeks depending on the number of distinct workgroups
selected.
PdK's fee for the Workplace Performance Diagnostic module ranges from
$15,000 to $30,000 depending on the number of distinct workgroups
selected.
All PdK fees are
offered with unconditional money back guarantee. If you are not satisfied
with PdK's performance for any reason, PdK will refund your fees.
