A visit to WICKFORD VILLAGE is a rare treat. Streets of colonial homes are clustered around the scenic harbor. Shoppers enjoy the 40 shops and boutiques and strollers can watch the fisherman returning from a day on Narragansett Bay. Or book a sightseeing cruise on the Brandaris, a restored Dutch fishing vessel.
SOUTH COUNTY'S HISTORIC TRAIL: Begin your tour in Wickford with Casey Farm, Gilbert Stuart House, and Smith's Castle. Visit the Old Narragansett Church, one of the oldest Episcopal Churches in America. Or enoy the vintage aircraft at the Quonset Air Museum. Continue on the TRAIL, following the footsteps of America's founding fathers.
KAYAKING: Visit Wickford's own Kayak Center. Rent a kayak and paddle the bay, or sign up for a weekend clinic.
THE BEACH: Walk out the door and trip down to our sandy beach. Swim in the bay or enjoy a picnic under the trees. Or take the short drive to Narragansett or Scarborough State Beach.
Venturing "Out of Town":
