Meet Richard Larson...
The owner and chief designer of Quilting Design Studio
Richard has been involved in sewing and designing for many years. He began sewing for his family at the age of six. During his junior and high school years, he earned money for college by making prom wear for the local school kids.
Richard graduated Wades Fashion Merchandising College and obtained a degree in Fashion Design and Textiles. In the early 70's and 80's, he worked in two different design houses in Dallas, Texas where he designed women's After Five Apparel.
With the encouragement of his mother, Joyce Larson, Richard has been quilting professionally since 1998 when he purchased a Gammill long-arm quilting machine and has been hooked ever since!
