Pharmanex’s line of products "developed by women, for women" was recently launched in the United States and has seen impressive success. The Estera line consists of three unique products formulated "For Women, For Life." These products are scientifically designed to address all three key phases of a woman's life cycle—childbearing, perimenopausal, and postmenopausal years—providing nutrients that strengthen and protect women now and in the future.

Estera products feature a patent-pending blend of ingredients that help support normal hormone balance and help maintain a healthy ratio of estrogen metabolites. Throughout the next several months, Pharmanex scientist Dr. Lori Blackner, a clinical pharmacist and certified Menopause Practitioner, will be traveling across the United States to introduce Estera and give an overview of key women’s health issues. Dr. Blackner, a key formulator of the Estera line, is certified as a North American Society Menopause Practitioner. NAMS is recognized as the "preeminent resource on all aspects of menopause to both healthcare providers and the public."

Each product in the Estera line contains a patent-pending blend of phytoestrogens (including genistein) and enzyme inducers. These phytoestrogens are plant-based compounds that have a mild estrogenic receptor binding effect. They should be incorporated into a woman's diet from an early age for benefits throughout life. Enzyme inducers, including flaxseed lignans and Indole 3-Carbinol (I3C), work with the liver to help promote a healthy ratio of estrogen metabolites.

Phase I — Women's Balance Formula, for women in childbearing years, contains chasteberry, evening primrose oil, and borage seed oil to work with the Estera patent-pending blend to provide relief from common PMS symptoms including fatigue, mild mood swings, breast tenderness, and water retention.

Phase II — Women's Transitions Formula, for women in perimenopausal years, contains black cohosh that works with the Estera patent-pending blend to help relieve symptoms associated with menopause. Studies have shown that these ingredients can relieve common symptoms included but not limited to hot flashes, vaginal dryness, occasional anxiousness, and mild mood swings.
