Historic Finger Cymbals - Mediterranean Delight

All Historic cymbals are available in light or heavy gauge. A set of four light gauge cymbals weigh approximately 110 grams (3.88 oz) and heavy gauge 140 grams (4.94 oz). Light gauge cymbals (low tone range) are designed for both student and intermediate dancers for greater dexterity and less fatigue. Heavy gauge cymbals (higher tone range) are recommended for professional use in night clubs, where a higher tone is necessary due to acoustical factors involved in various performance conditions.
Each set is crafted of premium quality solid brass, aged and burnished by our experts to preserve the rich tone and prevent distortion caused by continued use.
| All Saroyan cymbals have two rectangular slots and are packaged in sets of four with 1/2" heavy duty elastic straps for firm control. |

MOORISH CYMBALS

The Moorish design followed after the Persian, has a variation in both design and tone. Moors took them to Spain where castanets originated. High pitch tone, ideal for nightclubs and crowded parties. Available in light or heavy gauges. 2-3/16" dia. Light gauge 110 grams, heavy gauge 140 grams. |

ARABIC CYMBALS

This design is said to be the third oldest. Adopted by the Ottoman Turks, who later changed the design by raising the rims. Medium high tone, an excellent blend with Arabic music. Available in light or heavy gauges. 2-3/16" dia. Light gauge 110 grams, heavy gauge 140 grams. |
