Programs

 

PROGRAMS:

 

  • Serendipity West Foundation (SWF) is instrumental in introducing Central Oregon schools to Challenge Day, gaining administration support and providing much-needed funding to make the programs a reality. In addition, Serendipity West Foundation is bringing other youth-centric programs to Central Oregon.

 

Completed Programs:

 

  • December 5-7, 2008: Next Step to Being the Change Workshop – involved 19 teens and 33 adults.

 

  • January 6-8, 2009: Redmond High School, Redmond – involved 261 teens and over 70 adult volunteers

 

  • January 9, 2009: Elton Gregory Middle School, Redmond, OR – involved 90 teens and 30 adult volunteers

 

  • April 13-14, 2009: Sisters Middle School, Sisters, OR. – involved 210 teens and 52 adult volunteers.

 

  • April 15, 2009: Sisters High School, Sisters, OR - involved 100 teens and 37 adult volunteers.

 

  • October 19, 2009: Sunriver Middle School, Sunriver, OR – involved 102 teens and 45 adult volunteers

 

  • October 20, 21, 22, 23, 2009: Pilot Butte Middle School, Bend, OR – involved 400 teens and 129 adult volunteers.

 

  • May 11, 12, 13, 2010: Mountain View High School, Bend, OR - involved 234 teens and 92 adult volunteers. 

 

PROGRAM COSTS:

 

  • Challenge Day requires a 3-day minimum program.  The cost for a three-day program is approximately $12,000
  • Schools systems need your support to make these programs a possibility
