Don Hodor is an Electronic Engineer specializing in telecommunications with 25 years experience starting at Gimbels Department Store as Telecommunication Director for Pittsburgh and Philadelphia Divisions. Don and his team integrated, 1000 telephones, 625 cash register data terminals and 14 story building alarm systems under one management team reporting directly to the company Chief-Financial-Officer. Don also has a military background as Communication Staff Sgt. for the 28th Aviation Division of the Pa. National Guard responsible for helicopter avionics. (Aviation Electronics)  His military training was at Ft. Gordan, Georgia were he specialized in Aviation Electronics. 

Don founded Southpointe Telecom which specializes in integration of telephones, computers, LAN internet networks, Master Cable TV Antenna Systems, CCTV Security, and Audio/paging systems for residential and commercial buildings.

Update 2007-2009

Don has expanded his operations into Internet remote monitoring of Alarms, CCTV cameras and Card access entry/exit locks.  Using internet and proprietary software protocols, Don has been able to remotely access telephone, building security and campus internet systems using pass codes and encrypted security software.  Maintenance, training and repairs are often completed immediately rather than having to send technicians to the site.

Don has expanded the Southpointe Chamber media network by working with the the Tribune Review, (an annual Map/directory publication reaching over 40,000 in the region). Don helped TribMedia launch the new magazine, "Southpointe Connections", a quarterly publication about Southpointe area business and friends of the area.  

2009 Fall update

Don recently published a book, "Three words to live by”  as a short self help book evolving around 3 steps for successful projects.                                                                                                           

On the leisure side, Don’s hobbies include flying as a private pilot, sailing, motor yachting in Florida and playing piano.  Don founded the Southpointe Chamber of Commerce, in 1999, is a 10 year board member of Washington County Council on Economic Development, member Washington Masonic lodge 164,  and past president of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce.
