Spokane Seed Brand Pea and Lentil Processing
Before you examine a dry pea or lentil load, ask a few questions about the "process". Are there Critical Control Points (CCP's)? Have metal detectors and magnets been used to ensure maximum food product safety? Does the packing system deliver a perfectly squared up bag pallet?
Spokane Seed's pea and lentil system is a branded process unlike any in the industry. It's much more than drying, steaming, splitting and bagging. It is your assurance of the industry's highest standard of quality, safety and exceptional product. Here's why.

Spokane Seed Brand Pea and Lentil Processing Critical Control Points (CCP's)
All products from green split peas to lentils are processed with adherence to three critical control points (CCP's). These sections in our process allow us to ensure and document the quality of our shipments. CCP#1 separates unwanted foreign material and odd-sized product by sorting according to desired specifications. Fully processed product then heads to CCP#2, a metal detection system prior to air-blast cleaning and bagging. Tote-packed products also are examined with a metal detector (CCP#3) prior to load out.

Spokane Seed Brand Pea and Lentil Processing Magnets/Rare Earth
Call it our exclusive pledge for unadulterated, safe product. To us, it is a prized production step called the "Rare Earth Magnet."
All Spokane Seed finished products pass through this Rare Earth Magnet prior to final packaging. Our production line also houses three additional magnets that act as pre-screeners to ensure absolute food safety. No unwanted objects pass beyond these safety barriers. This is one of the reasons why the food industry's most discerning dry pea and lentil buyers continue to source from Spokane Seed Company.

Spokane Seed Brand pea and Lentil Processing Packaging System
We understand the importance of having uniformed packaging in order to limit product damage in transit. Our packing system is fully automated. Each bag, regardless of size, passes through a level air compressed packer prior to palletizing or floor loading. Loaded pallets and or slip-sheets are all prepared exactly the same way to ensure a perfectly squared bag every time.
