Speech Disabilities: A new FREE service is available in Oregon for people with speech disabilities (e.g., stutter, hard-to-understand speech because of Cerebral Palsy, etc.). The person with the speech disability calls the relay center, and the communications assistant there calls the person receiving the call. The assistant revoices the conversation word for word. This way, the recipient can understand what is being said. Calls from one Spanish speaker to another may also be revoiced. (Note: this is NOT an interpretation service.)
