A young male macho summar adventure flick like I use to see as a kid. At least the treasure doesn't end up being destroyed in an earthquake.
If you are a subteen/teenage boy, why not have an adventure. A cross between Indiana Jones and James Bond, and almost as entertaining. I looks like this could be a good franchise, if it just had a hook. Loosely based on the fact that there were armor plated war ships in the American Civil War. These characters were not dark, even the bad guys were lovable. It's too bad our culture seems to be so hooked on guns, violence, and the death of other human beings -- but, then, I played army when I was in grammar school. I happy to report, this film did not exploit the violence and some of the murder scenes were not explicit.
