Searching My Answers

If you cannot find the answer to your question by using the Help button on the page, it is time to try searching "My Answers". To get to the "My Answers" search screen, choose the "My Answers" button located at the top of each page in your DWP Owner's Suite.

The screen shot below shows what this search screen looks like. In the space provided, enter your question's keywords. For example if your question is: "How can I upload an image to my DWP?" you should enter the keywords "upload" and "image".

Below the keyword form is an option to search for "any keywords" or "all keywords." By choosing "any" the search will find results with one or all of the keywords. By choosing "all" your search will be limited to results that include all of the keywords.

A short explanation of advanced searching is included below the screen shots.

Search Tips

BOOLEAN SEARCHING

Click either the And or Or radio button below the search box to select your boolean operator.

  • And will select knowledge base items that contain all of your keywords.
  • Or will select knowledge base items that contain any of your keywords.

WILDCARD SEARCHING

Two wildcard operators are supported:
  • * will match any combination of characters
  • ? will match any single character

For example, searching on "*ing" will select any knowledge base items that contain "fishing", "hunting", "ring" or "drinking". Searching on "?ing" will return knowledge base items containing the word "ring".

Also, there is an implicit "*" added to the end of all keywords so that searching on "print" will also select "printer" and "printing"
