AMERICAN STYLE CLASSES
At Universal Dance Center group classes are our most valuable service and product. Dancers must exhibit a skill level for any class graded above "social dance." All material is based on Dance Visions curriculum.
The levels presented every week are:
Six Week Sampler - (Wed 8:15) brand new beginners
Social Dance Class - (Tuesday 7:30, Wednesday 7:30) beginners who have at least an introduction to partner dancing
Bronze American Style - (Thursday 7:30) dancers who have been dancing and taking lessons for a year or two
Silver American Style - ( Friday 7:00) dancers who are familiar with most of the partner dances, dance twice a week, understand terminology like alignments, footwork, rise and fall have the ability to learn new material, and have the opportunity to practice
Gold American Style - (Tuesday 8:15 and 9:00) dancers who are "advanced," who have been dancing and taking lessons for years, already know the silver material, are comfortable learning new material quickly, using connections, and staying in time with the music
