Karen and I were the only people in the whole audience who went backstage. We saw the snack table, the racks and racks of costumes, met the costume mistresses (I'm sure there is a more politically correct name for them, but that's what we used to call them), Kym (who didn't dance becasue of an injury), Sabrina (still hanging out with the touring company since her flight was cancelled), Helio (just in awe of the dancers and their skills), Julianne (always bubbly), the lighting director, the director of video (he controls the pictures on the four huge screens), Sandy (the woman who takes care of all the orders for tickets, and who says Philly was first to sell out).
Connie and Arnold sat with us. Gigi from Jose's school came over to say "hello." We met Connie and Arnold's friends, Steve and Julia. We parked about 30 seconds away from the front door to the stadium. The whole event was so beautifully set up and planned. Our seats could not have been any better. It was a great evening.
